2015 Turkey Contest Rules

Eligibility: The Contest is open to legal residents of the U.S..  Anyone wishing to participate who is under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult who is 18 years of age or older to claim official prize. All turkeys must be taken during the 2013 season in strict accordance with all local, state, and federal laws and ordinances governing the location where the turkey was taken.

Prize Deadlines: All contests will conclude at the end of Missouri and Kansas spring turkey season. 

Winner Selection and Notification: Winner of the Adult contest will be selected by staff of J & B Outdoors upon conclusion of contest using NWTF scoring. Winner will be notified by phone, e-mail or mail. If a winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been made within five (5) business days, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected.

General Conditions: This Contest is void where and to the extent prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable laws, including, without limitation, federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  All participating hunters are asked to conduct themselves in a thoughtful and ethical manner. 

In the event of non-compliance by any winner with the official rules of this Contest, an alternate winner may be selected. Prizes are non-transferable or redeemable for cash. All prizes will be awarded. Except where legally prohibited, participation in this contest hereby constitutes permission for J & B Outdoors to use each participants name, photograph, likeness, and testimonials, in printed, broadcast, internet, or other media, whether now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, in any manner it deems appropriate in connection with promoting this or any other Contest and/or promotion sponsored by it, without further compensation to the winner.

Releases: By participating, entrants agree that J & B Outdoors shall not be liable for any claims, damages, losses or injuries, including any third party claims, arising from or relating to, in whole or in part, this Contest, including entry and participation in this Contest and acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prizes. All entrants further agree that in the event of any third party claims, damages, losses or injuries, arising from or relating to such entrant’s participation in this Contest, such entrant will indemnify and hold J & B Outdoors harmless from and against any and all such claims, including reasonable attorneys’ fees related thereto. 

Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Contest will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

J & B Outdoors reserves the right to modify the rules of the Contest in any way or at any time, as long as reasonable notice is given.
